My Kind Grandma
我善良的姥姥
My grandma is 66 years old.
我姥姥已经66岁了。
She is retired.
她退休了。
She is a warehouse keeper before retirement.
在退休前她是一名仓库管理员。
She is very kind.
她非常慈祥。
One day in this summer, she comes to see me by train from Baihe town.
今年夏天的一天，她从二道白河镇坐火车来看我。
There are too many passengers, and one of her shoes is trampled off when she gets on the train.
乘客实在是太多，当她上火车时，她的一只鞋子被踩掉了。
But the door of the train shuts.
但是火车门已经关上了。
She can’t pick the shoe she lost up.
她无法捡起那只鞋子。
Then she takes off the other one and throws it out of the window of the train near the lost shoe.
然后把另一只也脱了下来，把它扔出火车窗外，扔在被踩掉鞋子边儿上。
A lass beside her asks her, “Why do you do that?”
她旁边的一个小姑娘问她:“你为什么要这么做？”
My grandma answers kindly: “Anyone who finds them will get a pair of shoes instead of getting one shoe.”
我姥姥和蔼地回答:“不论是谁得到了，就得到一双鞋，而不是一只鞋。”
